As Protesting Turmoil in Iran Gained Spotlight, PDKI May be Next Up in the Spotlight, But Issues May Not be Completely the Same; somewhere between yesterday and two days ago, reports of crackdowns on protestors were an I dictator the situation got to a zenith, where no more could be withstood, otherwise there might need to be a major change, not limited to simply stop, protestors might have to see that diverting what they are doing is fair to world concern.
As far as looking into options for future politics of Iran, all of Iran, a huge amount of questions all crop up at once as soon as PDKI and organizations of its class in terms of Kurdish plus a group seeking a place within Iran, are brought up in discussion.
It may be true PDKI is looking for certain goals. But being the ruler of all of Iran is not on practicality one of them. An analogy, let's say a certain region of land 20 miles by 20 miles in area, somewhere in the Continental US, or abutting it, is seeking to be the 51st state, or been seeking it for years. It takes the news spotlight after a major national situation, by virtue of timelines of different things happening in and around the land altogether, and here comes a discussion that that individuals comprising the political group or proponents, for the little bitty want to be a state, should now rule the entire US.
In staying respectful, do not want to say anything like that obviously absurd, but rather it simply is not the math and mechanics that fits the scheme of what's going on.
There might be individuals with leadership qualities, skills, noble lineage, weapons erudition, political leverage in the PDKI; however, let's look at recent history 101 first, get the baselines down first, before racing into haphazardly slapping or supporting slapping a group of people into situations as though they are puzzle pieces that can be adjusted with a carving knife to fit.
First, what is the PDKI?
Wikipedia says on its first paragraph in the English language version of their site
'The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI; Kurdish: حیزبی دێموکراتی کوردستانی ئێران, romanized: Hizbi Dêmukrati Kurdıstani Êran, HDKA; Persian: حزب دموکرات کردستان ایران, romanized: Ḥezb-e Demokrāt-e Kordestān-e Īrān), also known as the Kurdish Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI), is a leftist separatist movement of Kurds in Iran. It's considered as one of the mainstream political organisations of the Iranian Kurdish movement.'

Note a few things, Democratic Party...; Democratic here is not necessarily Democratic like it is in the US such as Democratic versus Republican Party.
Second, transliterates into Hizb....
There's a lot of media complaining about just about everything beginning with Hizb, even though Hizb has in its linguistic origin, more to go with perfection than a name that has to do with violence. Notwithstanding, there's a natural wonderment why looking into it is void; it may because of trying to move to fast and missed a few aspects.
The subject matter rolls right into the third element, which is, the group is a group that has used military might of sorts, or at least the threat thereof, at least in the past to obtain goals.
PDKI is also reported to have let communist elements in to their group, at least in years past.
In the messiness of the war between Iran and Iraq, which was a huge discomfort to the worldwide Muslim/Islamic World, PDKI may have received plausibly perceivable alignments with Baathist elements, from which Sadam Husein was involved, whereat, it was not too long ago the US was at war with Saddam Husein. History, history, who was with who when, who was a supporter then later at war, then a supporter, and some have learned how to play games with it all.
The background music says going around and around. When it comes to violence as the means, and just about the only means, to accomplish political positioning, going around and around us very, very risky, sometimes outright unwise.
Clarifying, and let there be no mistakes in understanding, Kurds are some of some the nicest, most respected and respectable people in the world. Kurds have been around a long time, some say around a couple of thousand years before the calendar we use, year 1, begun, so roughly at least 4000 years ago; at least before the modern English 26 letter alphabet where acronyms to refer to political groups are derived.
Political groups that form up are political groups that form up. There have been a number of Kurdish political groups that have evolved over time.
