Manhunt for Suspect in Anaconda, Montana Bar Shooting. Starting August 1, 2025.
August 3, 2025Update 8/11/2025- Suspect apprehended on or around last weekend.

A 45 year old, or thereabout, male, shot at a bartender and patrons, leaving 4 fatalities. The youngest of the fatalities was about 59, the older about 74.
Incident occurred Friday morning, day before yesterday.
Suspect is reported to be at large, not apprehended, as of the time of this writing 5:30pm EST, 3:30pm MT, August 3, 2025.
Suspect based on footage appears to be somewhat nutritionally deficient (hungry), although at times in past may have been very well rounded nutritionally. There may be degrees of instability, unstable psychiatrically and emotionally.
Although Montana is a large state, his whereabouts could have further reaches considering it has been 2 days since the shooting.
In the last several shootings then manhunt incidents, the suspect was found basically in the woods, not too far from areas he's probably familiar with.
If the suspect is still in the same locale as the incident, basic law enforcement finding techniques, like sound, drones, and infra-red technologies are probably going to be enough to assist with his capture, unless he's done something far-fetched like travel hundreds of miles away.
Suspect descriptions/details:
Name said to be Michael Paul Brown.
Is said to be a military veteran, who served as an armour crewman for at least several years shortly after year 2000. Service may have included in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Due to some of the conditions, such as wartime battles, in those two locations, for that time frame and location, it is known and understood that some soldiers that have been there have undergone different sorts of psychiatric challenges.

At least post military service, suspect may be diagnosed as having 'schizophrenia'.
Suffered the loss of both parents.
Note: Dissociative fugue, is a medical term that often describes it when adults lose track of where they are. There may be some logic in that type of fugue emerging in soldiers that wished to 'seoare' emotionally, or even subconsciously from the experience that involved traumas in warfare; whereas if it happened a few times, the process of dissociating might recur intermittently even when the soldier or former soldier is not in the midst of a battle, if a 'trigger', such as a reminder of the battle occurred, or an emotional trigger pushed the soldier or former soldier over the edge.
