Coronavirus and COVID-19 Summary by State May 21 2020

May 22, 2020
Summary of the impact of the virus state by state, along with any other concurrent major news, like a natural disaster. Work in progress.
Writing and publishing begun May 21 2020

Alabama –Sees about 300 plus new cases a day, a slight upsurge; prepping for a potential second wave of coronavirus

Alaska - Marked increase in COVID-19 cases, now over 400. Over half the cases clustered in Anchorage, then Fairbanks for almost another third of the figure. Bears, wolves, allowed to be hunted on increase on preserves.

Arizona - Over 15,000 cases, over 760 deaths, COVID-19 related, reported. Westgate Entertainment District shooting by (approx.) 20 year old male left 3 injured.

Arkansas - Big jump in daily cases increase today, over 450. May be due to fresh data from other locales. Over 5400 cases, over 100 coronavirus related deaths. Gunfire exchange news involving US Marshal, in Oxford, Mississippi, suspect from Arkansas. Shooting in a house resulting in homicide reported in Southwest Little Rock, suspect fled in a car. Bear in a tree scene, in a residential backyard, rescue a couple days ago, in Little Rock.

California - Reported to have recently paid back an almost $1.4 billion loan to federal government, for unemployment claims. Thousands of new cases of coronavirus reported a day; actuality of being ill might differ. Westfield reopenings slated before end of May.

Colorado - A major mail center finally gets a shutdown, USPS (serves CO and WY), ref 53rd Pl, Denver, illnesses reported. Morphew missing woman case ongoing; thus far the bike (that she rode when went missing over a week ago) is reported as found.

Connecticut - There appears to be improvement in the area of coronavirus/COVID-19 statistics in some aspects; meanwhile, a number of dangerous shooting incidents have all happened in very little time, in the state that is only but so many square miles. In some states, the entire state of CT, is like driving through a few counties. around 3 am, man shot in head in drive-through; and, UConn student a suspect in a shooting that caused a fatality in Willington armed and dangerous and out there somewhere not apprehended. --added May/23/2020

Delaware - Numerous masks being handed out; back to the beach; New Castle County Carousel Park and Equestrian Center, a site involved in investigation for robbery and abuse of animals (euphemism) - after finally getting coronavirus/COVID-19 to wind down, the worst of the worst, the most vehement of all direct contributors to 'coronavirus-like' environments either went on just before it, and, or was going on; high science to find a solution to the pandemic?, can the very basics, human dignity be abided, a strong start to the solution-
Update release by authorities May 22, Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Bear, the origin of where a man shot at elderly, Marino couple from Maryland, earlier this month; the suspect was shot by police, suspect was, note well, in the woods upon the latter event. --added May 23, 2020

Florida - prepping for second coronavirus wave. (- as of 5/21)
Astronauts about to go up. --added 5/23

Georgia

Hawaii - Over 640 cases reported. Face, head injuries, mortality, man found on side road, Honolulu area.

Idaho - update 5/22/2020: Cannabidiol, acronym CBD, making its way, increased popularity, in some areas. Compounds found in marijuana and hemp. Obviously there is a degree of caution when taking these products. Farmers spot man ejected from vehicle in crash a week after it happened. Coronavirus/COVID-19, Idaho dealing with numbers made known, well under 3000, under 100 fatalities.
HCN brief statement in regard to Deputy Maser, and military veteran, rites earlier today; he was about 14 years old, when an officer in June 2011 was thrown 30 feet over a bridge on Baltimore, Maryland's JFK Expressway. She survived. Initials T.R., name withheld for appropriateness. Many Marylanders remember the incident as recent news.  Back in late 1991, a 17 year veteran was struck by a vehicle on Annapolis Bay Bridge. There have been other incidents where officers were struck by vehicles, perhaps in different states, that ring bells, not all brought up here. Sharing information, not that it was not shared, but emphasizing that it could assist in minimizing incidents from a preparedness standpoint.

Illinois
Indiana
Iowa

Kansas - Memorial Day cancellations. Explosives area trespassed, Ft Riley. West Wichita apartment scene, shooting; downtown Wichita, body submerged in water (?), found dead; evening, ejected from vehicle, pickup, speed under investigation, Wichita.

Kentucky

Louisiana - update 5/22/2020: Almost 37,000 cases of COVID-19. It might be a lopsided number compared to states with markedly lower numbers. Unemployment rates and filings up in disproportionate numbers as well. Remdesivir making its way in.
HCN comment- like it sounds, rem des or desi vir, only some. It might reign supreme, at least for now, rem, against or about; .. desi...  Perhaps a lesson to learn, a big part of the battle of coronavirus is mental, psychological, requiring focus to win battles, not just muscular might. That might be what they have to work with for the time being. There are articles assessing the viability and limits.
Leaning on remdesivir like it is the sole panacea, might not be a good idea; wiser to keep studying, researching, developing alternatives.

Maine

Maryland – Death toll from virus, reported, to be over 2000.

Massachusetts
Michigan
Minnesota
Mississippi
Missouri

Montana - People trying to send meth to there, concealed through mundane means. Apologies, we are going to have to borrow someone's photo,  (https://bloximages.chicago2.vip.townnews.com/helenair.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/3/d8/3d8f484a-8537-5144-8459-d2873d2b996f/5ec5aa14ce548.image.jpg?resize=1200%2C799). There is actually a protester in front of the Capitol building with an assault rifle, event yesterday, Wednesday. Does he have any idea of federal laws? He got away with it. Generally speaking, there is no room for someone or a group to be 'in the mood', with, an assault rifle outside a State Capitol building.

Protesting about COVID-19 closures. Other states have seen protests outside their State Capitol building in recent weeks.
Most cases of coronavirus appear to be in the western areas of the state. A fire destroyed a downtown restaurant, rubble remains. Main St. Roundup. Less than triple digits in cases.

Nebraska

Nevada - update 5/22/2020: Nev Governor makes it clear that face masks and coverings do make a difference, however, will not make it mandatory to preclude backlash. The $15 billion dollar east to west Nevada pipeline project backed out of by SNWA. Furloughs due to budget cuts due to coronavirus a prospect in some regions.

New Hampshire - update 5/22/2020: Berlin, human remains found in wooded area; law enforcement, popular recommendation, state police, looking for help on the situation. COVID-19 stats seem to be steadily climbing. Over 4000 cases.

New Jersey
New Mexico

New York - Fraud way up, big concern, related to coronavirus/COVID-19. Curro murder situation; off duty cop, issued firearm. Over 70 man stabbed by his 40 years junior son, while on social media/video communication.

North Carolina
North Dakota
Ohio

Oklahoma - Sen. Ikley-Freeman injured in turnpike crash yesterday, Friday morning. AFB security truck hit by lightning, occupants mange to escape before passenger area consumed by flame. 10 year old girl had been ostensibly abused for months, the suspects, dad and step-mo, in custody, Pittsburg County several days ago. ..K9.. early in the morning, attacked by 'vicious dog'.. dog against dog, event between yesterday and today. (Event information courtesy news9.com.) 2 toddlers are missing in Tulsa. Earlier this morning, 35 year old inmate found hung in cell. (Event information koco.com.)  According to legend, when all those events are compiled together, it spells out an underlying situation of trouble; obviously not a good mix with coronavirus rampant. Statistics of the number of coronavirus/COVID-19 cases are varying, recovery rate high; all numbers appear to be under 1200 reported. Ominous large gray cloud moving into Oklahoma, thereabout, about 10:30pm EST --added 5/23

Oregon

Pennsylvania - Almost 67,000 cases. Most concentrated areas on the eastern parts of the states with exception of Allegheny County. Philadelphia appears hit hardest in terms of cases per area of land. Stats show, coronavirus/COVID rates start picking up at the age of 25. 24 down around comparatively few. --updated 5/23

Rhode Island
South Carolina
South Dakota
Tennessee

Texas – Prepping for second coronavirus wave. Shooting at Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi, appears terrorism related per reports; man approached main gate just after 6 in the morning, pulled handgun out, shot female, subsequently pulled rifle out, suspect shot by MPs.

Utah

Vermont - update 5/22/2020: Under 1000 cases. Suspect, -thanks to 38 year old, ex ER doctor, University of Vermont Medical Center, is now site involved in investigation where hidden cameras were placed in bathroom, and hundreds of footage have emerged of children when they were in there. This, needless to say, is not good; for who knows how many years ahead, when they become adults, considering stories are running about it, it could psychologically affect the victims for the rest of their lives.

Virginia
Washington

West Virginia - In the area of land, in square miles for instance, generally smaller than most states west of it. The 1700 cases continually appear to give a bleak and dim emotion reflective statewide. Meanwhile, crime trends continually head toward bleak, down-to-earth frivolty [frivolity], causing discomfort. --updated May 23, 2020

Wisconsin - update 5/22/2020: New records of the amount of reported cases a day. Over 14,000 so far. Amazon (the company) issues at facilities.

Wyoming - USPS center over in Denver that handles mail affecting WY was closed, refer Colorado. Just over 800 cases, roughly. A first in a couple months, no new, today (5/23).

Notes:
Similar to a computer or web virus, gone viral, news about the coronavirus/COVID-19 is in the first couple of headline news stories for just about every, if not every state.

The USA We Know and the Food Lines

May 10, 2020
After looking at pictures of the food lines today, it is even clearer that there is something very wrong. It is clear we are heading into a direction, at the pace and some of the direction that has gone into, that is similar to the potato famine that struck Ireland about 200 years ago.
On that point, the America that was a saving grace for immigrating from Ireland which was, might not have been the choice that it was, if things were then, they way they are now. The fire lit, keep America great, the beacon is this land is one with hope, not doom.
The food lines, some miles long, show more than just how long the lines are, and that people are being given food in boxes instead of a choice to choose, and cannot be 100% certain that the food in there is best for them and their families, what is also seen is the shattered confidence and low esteem.
Now a decision has to be made, open back up or risk mass scenes of hunger and starvation like what is discussed in Irish famine lore. Back then, numerous persons that did not make it to safety, died on the side of road.
The question is now present, and has already been, what would happen if the food that gets donated, runs out? Who and what can we turn to, foreign imports? That can't happen, because others are facing the same or similar challenges.
Either business resumes, or risk widespread illness, not from COVID-19, but from malnutrition.
The place we are at now, is a ramification of word of mouth instruction to stay at home in an effort to avert massive coronavirus related illness. To what degree it worked, remains to be seen. To what degree the ramifications are going to lead us down a road that the consequences are going to be about the same as COVID-19, is looming as that might be the plight.
The word of mouth instructions, to stay at home, leading to business closure, could have very easily been replaced with another set of instructions.
Many here in America have been nice about it all thus far, humbly swallowing the guidance. At some point, the bubble might burst. Switching the gear in terms of instruction right when that happens to tantalize, is ethically poor, -by the way.
The scenes of the food lines make it look like we are losing the war to an arrogant, communist, power hungry bunch that bow to entities that are bent on ruling the world.

Veteran Police Officer Shot, Turn of Destiny in This Became Catastrophic Fatality

March 13, 2020
What to start off with, is very difficult; statements have already been made by prominent members of law enforcement that words cannot express the loss.

Attempt at stating some information herein, order which is aside.

In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this morning at about 5:45am, Cpl Connor was shot fatally, apparently a bullet striking him in a vulnerable area where it cold strike the body, over the bulletproof vest.

Frankford might be a key word.

Shortly after the first week of August of 2019, a 22 year veteran police officer, Sgt Carrington, was shot, it was in the Frankford area of Baltimore, Maryland, near Route 1, while talking with a neighbor, in mid-afternoon. He was on life support, and lived.

This morning SWAT Officer Cpl James O'Connor the Fourth, a 23 year veteran, at the time of shooting, as of today it is seems has served almost the same length as Sgt Carrington. The event was in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia.

Cpl O'Connor leaves a wife and two adult children. Both prodigy are serving, in police force and US Air Force, setting increased weight on the Cpl O'Connor, and the incident.

It is a certainty that he will receive numerous honors.

Cpl O'Connor was rushed to Temple University Hospital, the deceasing reportedly pronounced as being after 6am, about 20 minutes after the bullet struck.

Condolences to the loss.

There will be many questions. Going forward, will veterans of that level be the ones to carry out extremely dangerous tasks which might otherwise be done in different manners, may be one of them. There have been other police fatalities recently in other parts of the US involving minimal lighting and dangerous situations.

There is a degree of gratitude that the news story pervaded through the veil placed on us through the result of the Coronavirus hysteria currently going on.

Update: March 17th 2020 -- Funeral arrangements are reported to be March 20th. Confirmation might be needed in case any changes or inaccurate information.

Coronavirus Success Story: Shutdowns

March 13, 2020
Written and published evening of March 12, 2020 EST

Perhaps it was not entirely clear whether coronavirus would affect to the extent it is now, especially the economy.

It appears there might be a 'third wave' of major contenders to economic stability in the US., right up in there with shutdowns and gridlocks.

Coronavirus-19, for 2019, may have had the potential to loom large, however, ordinarily most viruses are phased out by the might of US technology and advanced medicine.

The cards have not been played or fell the way they usually do, and now from coast to coast, entire cities are being virtually closed, schools, gatherings limited, and so forth, as we deal with this coronavirus.

The embarrassing part of it all, is the cure might be a simpler fix than most would suspect.

Fortunately, there is still a degree of latency, to find solutions, before it is too late.

Of course the key is, to find the answers, and act in the ideal guidance, at the right time.

Two 'Messes' That Need to be Addressed Immediately

February 26, 2020
Published night February 25, 2020 EST
The rule is being broken here; regardless of whether or not a newsworthy story evolved to do just that, bring attention to a region of the world through death and destruction. Ordinarily, there is a strive not to allow stories about strife in the Middle East, or anywhere, to be set directly alongside, or even juxtaposed with stories related to the White House.

The U.S. and Turkey for many years have had allegiances. Holding on to the allegiances has many wisdoms, which comes with the perspective leading to the same, that to break allegiance with Turkey is not wise.
The U.S and Saudi Arabia, same sentence as above, for many years have had allegiances. Holding on to the allegiances has many wisdoms, which comes with the perspective leading to the same, that to break allegiance with Saudi Arabia is not wise.
Upon international relations now, is that at least two Turkish troops have been reported fatalities in the strife in Libya.
Once again, the mess in Libya between the main rivals, current government, and the group seeking to overthrow it, leaves a number of nations with allegiances spread out and perhaps even contrary to clean-cut consistent allegiance groupings.
With the troops dead, and Turkey backing one group, while the U.S. backs the other, where is the future going with this?
Meanwhile, post the recent Democratic debate in South Carolina earlier this evening, current POTUS campaign assesses that situation as a mess.
Respectfully put, mess in terms of policy complexity, we now have 2, large scale messes that are on the table for cleaning up as carefully yet as quickly as possible.

Refer Burma/Myanmar page for air strikes over the EOM February/2026 start of March 2026 time frame. Up for consideration is the be mindful of the whole pie concept. There may very well be a double team set of missile strikes going on on Iran, subject to differing views; however there are still a number of situations going on globally that are weighted, such as violence in different areas of where the Sahel and Northern Africa meet, situations of starvation in the eastern areas of the belt as well; and missile strikes in other regions.
