Multi-Method Attack on Synagogue in Manchester UK

As of 10am EST October 2, 2025, what is known to the public is at least one suspect performed an attack which either draws upon several attack techniques aimed at congregations of people, or a fusion of attack methods. A suspect is said to have rammed his car toward or into a crowd of people, then (exited the vehicle, then) started stabbing persons.
Police are on the scene, as well as the bomb squad, conjecturably to make sure there is not at least another element intended to occur but did not materialize or not materialize yet, and neutralize any potential explosives.
This comes just several days from a horrific attack in the US, specifically in the northwest of Detroit region in Michigan (of USA), where a man rammed a vehicle into a church, then began shooting.
Altogether, in certain dimensions, attacks of this nature can be viewed in a lense such as by law enforcement that are independent of the religions practiced by the congregation that was attacked.
A spate or trend of attacks on religious institutions could be just that, a wave of attacks. Hence all religious institutions and structures applied.
Sometimes people attack religious institutions because they are using the congregation of people to accomplish certain schemes.
Religious institutions and their structures, like buildings, can become targets by attackers and schemers, as they are expected to have a congregation of people, which makes it an attractive target by such people, that want to carry out a 'mass attack', of some sort of sorts.
Underscoring that which religion may be independent or somewhat independent, may be the Poway Synagogue attacks and attempted arson of a masjid of 2019, where both a synagogue and masjid were reported as targeted by the same suspect.
In the recent historical background, besides locations where there has been ongoing strife and tensions with religious institutions involved, such as Palestine and Israel, or in certain decades fighting reportedly occurred in India with religious building involved, here are a few incidents on a global level:
Above list briefly describes incidents where a suspects was physically outside a structure and attacked, or someone was inside the structure before the attack pricipally aimed at the structure, what it stands for, and, or individuals attending for purposes provided by the institution.
Most if not all of these attacks have occurred while the weather was warm enough it probably was not a mitigating factor.
Combination of targeting in consideration of vulnerabilities and congregations, appears to be an evident element that went into the planning of some attacks.

- Victoria, Texas, an area east of San Antonio and north of Corpus Christi, saw a major arson of a masjid - late January 2017
- Charleston, South Carolina, mass shooting at church [during Bible study] - mid June 2015
- Sweden, several masajid (plural for masjid) have been reported to have had suspicious or suspected attacks, (some may have been refuted as an attack) - around December 2014
- Kano, Nigeria, attack/bombing at masjid, over 100 victims, [during Jumaa/ Friday congregation/prayers] - late November 2014
