Light Analysis of WHCA Shooting Scare

So far, as the incident and it's aftermath is a developing story, standout aspects, in opinion, is that what unraveled at the WHCA dinner, was a combination of the strategies and techniques presented in movies about the Martin Luther King assassination, and the slaying of two interns just under a year ago in DC at the Capital Jewish Museum.
In the background, is the Lincoln assassination.
Why in the background and not the foreground? Because basically the group the suspect is reputed to be affiliated with, the Wide Awakes, was in support of Abraham Lincoln, a soon to be President, while the suspect in this case, same group, a Republican group historically, attacked a setting where the sitting White House leadership are Republican party. Perhaps an irony of some sort, perhaps the suspect was trying to make a statement that there was a disagreement among Republicans.
Further out in the background, an incident that is also reminiscent to the WHCA incident, was the event in Manhattan, New York, July of last year, where the suspect traveled from the far western area of the US to make a statement about football head injuries etc. This post will be continued with further details.
Meanwhile, the thread of where it's going is pretty clear. The suspect in his early 30s, like recent others in incidents similar, traveled from far off, in a highly refined calibrated and planned attack.
Notes compiled:
At least one movie about the MLK assassination portray that the assassin stayed in a hotel near to where the incident occurred; very similar to the WHCA incident.
On a Monday, not a Sunday, mid July of last year, Shane Tamura after traveling from Las Vegas Nevada, a state contiguous to California where the suspect 'Cole Allen Thomas' reportedly had as his geographic spot of initial departure, Tamura brandishing a large firearm, headed toward the general geographic pinpoint area of his selected target, similar to Thomas last weekend.
Simply put, the simple 1-2-3, design an attack plot, probably with help from the Internet, travel in to DC with weapons from far off, book a hotel or motel near a selected region for the gun play, then roll out the hotel room several days later and attack, needs to be a thing of the past, now. The recurrence just being a recurrence, has gone too far, considering the vast amount of AI tools, prediction models, computers, and information sharing; the same snake has bitten several times in under a year's time.
Try, among numerous basic practices, if a hotel or motel guest is within a certain number of miles from critical infrastructure, in or not in combination of traveled a certain distance and staying in a place like a hotel for several days, check his baggage.
Knock knock, on hotel/motel door, 'Hi, I'm the 'XY' agency or security team, just doing a standard procedure check of the room, as this location is 3 miles from Capitol Hill and major landmarks, will take a 3 minute X-ray scan of the room and your items, thank you for your time.'
Is it against current privacy laws?, maybe, but there's room for the whole blueprint to get a shapeup for the better and safer.
