Attack in Kenya Leaves American Casualties

Details not in yet. Update 11pm EST: One soldier, and two contractors reported as the casualties. Location, Manda, Kenya, not far from Somalia. Event very early Sunday morning, January 5th, 2020, between pitch black and start of dark bluish early morning time, sunlight minimal if at all.
Looks like a lot of thermal activity went on.
An attack on the Embassy, reference Kenya and Tanzania occurred in 1998.

Refer to the history and timeline of all Al-Shabab activities, over the years, especially upon providing an analysis as to whether their actions can be determined to be 'genuine' jihad or not.
