Do guns really need to be used in 2025 to say something? To accomplish something?
Reports from earlier today, a young man in Charlie Kirk was shot while on a 'Comeback' event in Utah while on an educational institution.
A few concepts and memories naturally arise, such as the Kent State shooting in Ohio back in the 60s. Shot while on a podium talking about politics, or non-politics politics, may have been a tactic used back over 100 years ago, either the old way of settling things in duels, take 10 paces deal, or after that era ended, a shocking surprise that guns were used after civilized public debate became the folkway.
Some of the usage of guns especially in the framework of education environs and political debate is outright craziness, mental instability, criminality, or terrorism, not leaving out the possibility of public sympathy ruses.
Now look, it may be the case that Turning Point USA et al has received support from the Republican party, and en sugue, current political agendas and tides that may be in sync with Republicans may have influence on Turning Point, and may have aspects of disagreement, there is no excuse for gunfire.
There may be aspects that need to be on a comeback trail, such as the number of Americans living in houses and not in tents on the street; while altogether whether or not America is in a status that it is not great and needs to be great again, or that it needs to get on the comeback trail as though it is behind, may be arguable, as some may believe America has always been great, even though there were ups and downs in areas within; whatever the issue is with more than one vantage point, there is no excuse for gunfire.
That there is gunfire in the type of event in general, whether Republican, Democrat, or whomever, the alarm has sounded that right through here, safety is a serious concern.
