A good frame of reference to begin this discussion, may be, the Ark pulled up after the flood.
Timelines, epochs went by. All sorts of wisdoms all over the world evolved about economics.
What books were used, what handed down by mouth information, sat most prominent and most popular?, might depend on what era, or what social construct.
A lot transpired in the place called America.
Folds after folds, civilizations, building, changing, destroyed, rebuilt or new ones in place of older ones, typically combinations of sorts are efforts made.
There has been a whole lot of boat rowing, marching, and riding, like horseback riding, in the process of people coming to America. Possibly more complex or lesser known, is who was pretty much already here, and when does the beginning start, but that's not really the focus of this piece of writing.
On boats on the way to America, especially Europeans from about 5 centuries back, used to talk on those boats, 'what will be the systems in place in this country that will one day be known as the USA'.
Fast forward to 1776.
Different economic models as already alluded, came and went, some prospered better than others.
There were challenges that came up.
There were epidemics and pandemics. Wall Street crashes and economic booms.
Leadership and guidance, in terms of recognized concentrations at heights, emergence of who they were, even down to individuals, became clearer in the 1970s. From there, the legacies went on for decades, even on through and beyond today.
Among these was Alan Greenspan. A centurion. He knew the big shots, the power players, and folks charged with guiding the Country. When it was time to ask questions as to what course of action should be taken on economic matters, even though he might have already told us long before what to do or recommended solutions when a situation arose, but because he was a reliable staple, he was asked again anyhow.
Recourses, for viable effective guidance started to become a subject matter, after the natural 50 years or so career, started to wane in some aspects. The guidance and information might already be there, but the culture of a phone call away, or later, an email or text away for moment to moment decisions, was a prevalent folkway, especially in arenas like Capitol Hill, the Feds remindful of the name Federal Reserve, and other main arteries of economic significance.
After a while it was realized that archiving information, similar to how artificial intelligence works, can be a helpful addition, as a ready resource to pull from, for goals and challenges.
