'No Kings' Rallies Multifaceted

Posted by HCN on Sunday, March 29, 2026
As a matter of common sense, not just protocol, anytime rallies and protests occur, especially when large and near critical/government infrastructure/structures, maintaining an alertness that, turns for the more intense could occur, and, there could be characters inside the rally that have nothing to do with the rally, just there on another mission, typically to cause damage and incite intensified violence, etc.

Protestors wearing masks during rallies where they are supposedly there to make a statement, is an issue. It's a safety issue. Eyebrow is raised because wearing the mask, said politely, can be a conflict of interest. So why the mask? It becomes a serious issue when mask wearers that do things like throw dangerous objects at government buildings, show up in other circumstances or rallies that are not aligned with the other rally, a carrying out dangerous activities. The bottom line, dangerous people carrying out dangerous activities.

Reports are going around that numbers like 8 million was an aggregate of the number of people that participated in the rallies yesterday.

Numbers that large say something.

Although there may have been individuals not necessarily from the US that participated in the rallies, 8 million is about 2% of the current population of the US.

Multifaceted- some of the POTUS' policies may deserve to stay, while some may not be considered condign to by 100% of the people.

In the rallies, there appeared to be multiple agendas.

There may be multiple agendas on Capitol Hill.

Overlays and conflation don't seem to help simplify matters.

The words 'no kings', has to do with the US seeking independence from times where the land mass was under influence of lands run by kings, markedly 1776. There are other kings that were involved historically, such as France. Back at the time before New York was New York, and it was New Amsterdam, although there may not have been a king per se then, rather a stadtholder, eventually later, in the early 1800s there was the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

All said, the idea of no kings, is not to relapse back into the days of being 'under a kingdom or king'.

The reverse, of being under a king, basically, is democracy.

Concerns about relapsing under a king, is regardless of whether that king or kingdom is in a geographic spot outside the Continental US, other states and territories, or set within it, whether one or multiple persons comprising what might be considered at the status of acting in kingly manner, wholly or partly, and moving in that direction, or increasing.

With all that in mind, the backdrop, the basis, rallies for ensuring democracy and US government ideals are maintained, is not an 'opportunity' to get up in a rally under a label like 'no kings', and just start doing whatever you want, pressing and pushing for objectives that are contrary or even dangerous for the US, democracy, and government ideals. Brass tacks, no kings rallies are not opportunistic fodder for individuals like terrorists and recruiters for terror groups to hide in there and do their workings, nor is it a chance for people to just vent and release undisciplined rage for sport. Nor is any other time and place for that.
