Higher estimate of 3,000 persons missing or dead from flooding central Nepal, China border, Tibet region/s, rescue missions underway; obviously there is much more that needs to be in process.
Central Nepal affected area appears to run from south central on up to the China border, keeping in mind the country is set at somewhat angularly (between India to its southwest and China to northeast), on globe, while shaped like a rectangle.
Hotspots of flooding in Nepal over the past couple of days appear to run on almost 45 degree ray, starting in the south of the country from a region bounded by Kawasoti on to Harkapur, then to Mugling area, then area just north of Pipaldanda, Pasang Lhamu Rural Highway north of Brabal, and the area that abuts China around radius of Rasua.
Every once or twice in a while, severe flooding and other related natural disasters do occur in the region. Solutions may be called for.
