Bear Issues. 2026. Attacks Rife.

There have been spates of bear attacks before.
This time around, in the past 6 months thereabout, there seems to be another one, the underpinning of the cause might have its idiosyncratic story for the times.
Expectations in 2026, especially in 'developed' countries, include that, areas that are civilized are civilized. How does one get to the threshold of completely civilized? If completely civilized means 0 animal presence, and achieving 0 presence means 100% eradication, blocking, or banning, the amount of trauma it might cause to some sections of the (bear) society and construct, might have tripped their switch into being aggressive at above normal levels.
In the news now, is:
Glacier National Park (Montana, USA): In May, 33-year-old hiker was killed in a suspected fatal grizzly bear attack near the Mt. Brown Trail.
Another, on May 28; hiker on the Grinnell Glacier Trail was attacked.
Mammoth Lakes (California, USA): In June, a couple defending their dogs from a black bear were mauled and critically injured outside their home.
Mount Si (Washington, USA): A hiker was injured by a black bear near the Mount Si area.
Alaska- multiple incidents, including an orphaned that was brought into the zoo, later attacking a smaller bear.
Dog mauled viciously; past few days.
Florida - Everglades and Collier County areas affected. Over 6000 bear related calls in a year, reference Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Estimated 4,000 or more bears in the State about now.
Canada - An attack on a group of schoolchildren in the British Columbia area, occurred last winter.
Japan: 'Record numbers'.
Such as 200 persons injured last year, 5,000 bear encounters in one region in about a 3 month span. 'Most encounters involve the Asian black bear on the islands of Honshu and Shikoku, and the Ussuri brown bear on the northern island of Hokkaido.'
